Capitol Records5 Seconds of Summer has released the title track of their new album, Youngblood, due out June 22.

The Aussie band co-wrote the song with the same team behind Camila Cabello‘s “Havana.”  If you pre-order the album, you’ll instantly get a download of “Youngblood,” as well as the first single, “Want You Back.”

Tickets for the band’s upcoming Meet You There tour go on sale tomorrow, April 13 at 10 a.m. local time via LiveNation.com; each ticket purchased will include a copy of the new album.  The tour kicks off August 27 in Toronto and is scheduled to run through October 12, wrapping up in L.A.

Speaking of L.A., that’s where 5 Seconds of Summer decamped to in order to work on their new music.  Singer Luke Hemmings says, “We had to move forward and test our songwriting and progress. It was the greatest thing we could do — we were hungry for something new and exciting. It felt like starting the band again!”

Drummer Ashton Irwin was captivated by L.A.’s underground club scene, which also influenced Youngblood.  He says, “I loved that new wave could be really melancholy, but also up. It had romanticism and anger, but also energy and color. That’s exactly what we wanted for our new music.”

You can watch 5 Seconds of Summer’s performance of “Want You Back” Wednesday night on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon online now.
