Shawn Mendes announces self-titled new album with artistic nine-hour live stream

Island RecordsShawn Mendes has revealed his new self-titled album in a creative way.

During a nine-hour live stream, a team of artists and florists created an art installation that revealed the album’s cover: a fractured close-up of Shawn’s face with flowers blooming through the cracks.

Shawn’s third album, featuring the singles “In My Blood” and “Lost in Japan,” will be released May 25. He also revealed the album’s full track list, which includes a collaboration with Julia Michaels titled “Like to be You,” and one with Khalid called “Youth.”

The album follows his first two releases, 2014’s Handwritten and 2016’s Illuminate.
