Interscope/UMeThe actual 20th anniversary of Smash Mouth‘s hit debut album, Fush Yu Mang, was last year, but this is the year that the “All Star” band is choosing to mark the milestone.

On June 29, Smash Mouth will release a remastered and expanded edition of Fush Yu Mang, as well as a newly recorded acoustic version of the album.  The latter will be released digitally as a standalone, or as part of the Fush Yu Mang 20th Anniversary Remastered two-CD set.

In case you’ve forgotten, the unusual title of the album was inspired by an obscene phrase that Al Pacino slurs in the 1983 movie Scarface.

The acoustic and remastered versions of Smash Mouth’s first big hit, “Walkin’ on the Sun,” are now available for streaming.

By the way, Smash Mouth’s best-known song, “All Star,” appears on their 1999 album Astro Lounge.  Their other major hit, a cover of the Neil Diamond-penned Monkees smash “I’m a Believer,” is from the Shrek soundtrack.
