Rita ZimmermanClean Bandit and Demi Lovato have released the music video for their new self-empowerment single, “Solo.”
The U.K. trio directed the clip, which features Clean Bandit’s Grace Chatto as a skater girl who turns her boyfriend into a rainbow-colored dog with the help of some sketchy science experiments. Demi appears throughout the video, singing from a couch while wearing an off-the-shoulder floral top.
“Making little films is our passion, just as important to us as music (or more!),” Grace says in a statement. “We made this one in LA, which was super cool! It was the first time we met Demi Lovato properly since we recorded the song, and filming her was really special. Can’t wait for you to see it!”
The song itself is about being alone after a breakup and deciding to focus on yourself for a change.
