ABC/Steve FennJanet Jackson gave the police a call to ask them to do a welfare check on her 1-year-old son, Eissa, who was with his father, Wissam Al Mana, after she was told Al Mana was acting aggressively, Entertainment Tonight reports.

When police arrived at the Nobu Hotel in Malibu around 10 p.m. on Saturday, they determined no one was in any harm and that the child was safe.

Jackson’s brother Randy Jackson confirmed the incident to Entertainment Tonight, saying Janet became alarmed when a nanny told her she was “terrified” by Al Mana’s behavior and “locked herself in the bathroom so she could contact Janet.”

A spokesperson for the Malibu Lost Hill’s Sheriff’s Station told People, “Deputies were there [and] called to the scene. They decided the child was okay and they left.”

Jackson gave birth to her son in early 2017, but ended things with Al Mana three months later. According to Entertainment Tonight, the couple has been committed to co-parenting.
