ABC/Image Group LASelena Gomez is on a real winning streak.
The singer’s latest single, “Back to You,” has arrived in the top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100 chart: It’s currently at #38. This marks Selena’s 20th top 40 hit, and her 15th in a row. As Billboard notes, all 15 songs that Selena’s charted since 2011 have hit the top 40, which is the “longest active run of any artist.”
Selena’s streak started in 2011 with “Love You Like a Love Song,” and also includes hits like “Hands to Myself,” “Bad Liar,” “Wolves” and “It Ain’t Me.” Seven of those 15 hits made it all the way to the top 10, including “Good for You” and “Same Old Love.”
“Back to You” is from the soundtrack of 13 Reasons Why season two, the Netflix show Selena executive-produces. The song should rise further up the chart now that its official video has been released.
