Moni HaworthYou won’t need 13 reasons to watch Selena Gomez’s new video for “Back to You,” her song off the 13 Reasons Why soundtrack.

The video plays out like a silent film, starting with Selena at a house party with changing colored lights. She spots a cute boy from across the room and they approach each other. “Do you want to steal a car?” we see her ask via subtitles. “Sure,” the guy responds.

The two then steal a red convertible and take it for a joyride, with the guy at one point turning to Selena to say, “You know, you sort of look like Selena Gomez.” They stop in a field to take Polaroids and home videos of each other. Eventually they realize they’re wanted for grand theft auto and Selena burns the car so they don’t get caught.

In the end, they two end up back at the party where everything started. Despite the trouble they got into they seem destined to make the same choices again — much like the song’s lyrics, “If I could do it all again/I know I’d go back to you.”

Selena asks him to steal a car again and again, he agrees.

“Back to You” appears on the soundtrack for season two of the hit Netflix series 13 Reasons Why, which Selena executive-produces.
