ABC/Paula LoboIt seems being tapped as Halsey’s opening act was the push Lauren Jauregui needed to share her solo material with fans.

The Fifth Harmony star kicked things off on Halsey’s hopeless fountain kingdom tour stop in Sao Paolo, Brazil Wednesday night by performing three original songs: “Toy,” “Inside” and “Expectations.”

Lauren told the crowd she wrote all the songs herself. “Expectations,” a sultry tune about a lover who always disappoints, proved the catchiest, with the crowd singing along by the end.

“GUYS IM SCREAMING OH MY GOD SEEING ALL OF YOUR REACTIONS TO THESE SONGS AND LITERALLY PEOPLE WERE ALREADY SINGING THEM BY THE END OF THEM I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!” Lauren tweeted following the show.

She added, “Obrigada São Paulo you have my heart forever!! First show ever DONE!!”  “Obrigada” is Portuguese for “thank you.”

Halsey also sang Lauren’s praises on Twitter, writing, “Lauren was sooooo good tonight I’m so proud of her I ran out barefoot to walk her to stage and I was crying that’s my sister yoooooo [Lauren] you’re a star!”

Lauren responded, “I love you so much mama thank you for having me and being such a queen and always being so loving and real af I appreciate you for giving me one of the biggest opportunities ever! It is an HONOR to open for you.”

Lauren will open for Halsey for the rest of the tour’s Latin American leg.
