David Wolff-Patrick/RedfernsThe Late Late Show with James Corden is taking over London this week, and special guest Niall Horan came on the show to promote the second leg of his Flicker world tour.

During his chat with Corden, Cate Blanchett, and Orlando Bloom, Horan revealed that One Direction once kicked themselves out of Trump Tower in New York. He explained that they were staying there for their Madison Square Garden show when Donald Trump asked them to take a picture with his lawyer’s daughter. The group decided not to do meet and greets because it was such a big show, so they told Trump no. Then, Trump told them they couldn’t use the back garage to enter the building, forcing them to face their fans out front.

“He basically wanted us to promote the hotel,” Horan said, “so we just left.”

“I’m starting to think he’s a bad guy,” Corden quipped.

Horan also revealed that if he could perform in any musical it would be Les Mis.

“I would be fantastic in that, wouldn’t I?” he asked the group.

Later, Corden pointed out that Horan’s second leg of his tour is in the U.S., where people love to tailgate. Horan said he is nervous to tailgate with his opener Maren Morris because she is from Texas.

“Tailgating like that and drinking like that and then trying to sing for an hour and a half, really don’t work together,” the singer said. “So i’m going to be hiding from her, basically, for the next three months.”

Horan closed out the show with a performance of his hit single “Slow Hands” off his album Flicker

The Late Late Show continues its British invasion this week with Cher, Chris Pratt, and a special Carpool Karaoke with Paul McCartney
