Alasdair McLellanAdele‘s blockbuster album 25 came out in 2015, so it’s high time she got to work on some new tunes. The British tabloid The Sun claims the Grammy and Oscar-winning superstar is eyeing Christmas 2019 as the release date for her next album.
According to The Sun, Adele has returned to the U.K. and plans to spend the summer writing new material. She had a meeting about her new album earlier this month at her record company headquarters, claims The Sun.
In addition, the paper claims that Adele has already written a few songs and a number of musicians have “been approached” to work with her.
Adele finished her world tour behind the 25 album about a year ago, and told fans she would probably take a long break before her next project. Now, it appears, she’s decided to move up her timeline.
Contacted by ABC Radio, a rep for Adele had no comment on The Sun’s report.
