Image Group LA/ABCJustin Bieber reportedly had his proposal to Hailey Baldwin all planned out — and she was completely surprised.
A source tells People magazine that Justin had been planning on popping the question for a couple of weeks.
“Justin picked out the ring before they flew to the Bahamas,” the source says. “He took Hailey on a special trip to propose. She didn’t know.”
The source adds, “It might seem spontaneous, but it wasn’t. He felt in his heart that this was right. He doesn’t want Hailey to ever be the one that got away.”
According to the source, Justin was “nervous but excited” to propose and was “super happy” Hailey said yes.
So far, the two have not publicly confirmed the engagement. But Justin’s parents posted some cryptic social media posts over the weekend.
His dad Jeremy wrote on Instagram Sunday, “Proud is an understatement! Excited for the next chapter!” Mom Pattie Mallette tweeted Saturday, “Love Love Love Love Love Love Love.”
Justin, 24, and 21-year-old Hailey — a model and daughter of actor Stephen Baldwin – recently rekindled their relationship after previously being linked as far back as 2014.
