Capitol RecordsTroye Sivan and Ariana Grande have debuted the new music video for their duet, “Dance to This.”
The clip begins with Troye attempting to work a tough crowd. He sings in front at a dull community center where no one seems to be interested in his performance. Midway through, one of the attendees is revealed to be Ariana and she gets up and joins him.
When the two start singing together, and everyone else leaves the room, leaving Troye and Ariana to sing and dance alone. The two don’t seem to care and instead take advantage of the empty room by dancing on the tables and flickering the lights.
In the end, Troye is revealed to have daydreamed the whole thing as he sits by the coat check of the rec center with his headphones on.
Troye explained the inspiration for the video on Twitter, writing, “The DTT vid was inspired literally by High School Musical and Grease and Pass This On by the Knife and a gif of Cher spinning around that i cant find rn.”
He added, “So glad the funnest day of my life was documented lol.”
