Kevin Mazur/Getty Images for American ExpressWhile Ariana Grande has taken a social media break following her split with fiancé Pete Davidson, Davidson has now spoken about their breakup publicly…in one of his stand-up sets.

As The Hollywood Reporter recounts, Pete performed at a benefit show in Los Angeles Saturday night that also featured Judd Apatow, comedian Tig Notaro and Benmont Tench, co-founder of Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers.  Following Tench’s rendition of the Tom Petty classic “American Girl,” Pete took the stage and immediately commented on his personal situation.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Pete referred to Tench’s performance by saying, “Who the f*** wants to follow that? Am I not going through enough that I have to f***ing follow that?”

He then continued, “Well, as you can tell, I don’t want to be here. There’s a lot going on. Anybody have any open rooms? Anybody looking for a roommate?

The SNL star then referred to the fact that both he and Ariana had gotten numerous tattoos dedicated to each other.

“I’ve been covering a bunch of tattoos, that’s fun. I’m f***ing 0-for-2 in the tattoo department,” he added. “Yeah, I’m afraid to get my mom tattooed on me because she’d leave.”

As previously reported, Ariana was seen wearing a Band-Aid on her finger to cover up the word “Pete” when she taped the upcoming NBC special A Very Wicked Halloween.

Ariana and Pete split last weekend; they got engaged in June after dating for just a few weeks.

Prior to her social media break, Ariana wrote to her fans on her Instagram Story last week, “It’s very sad and we’re all tryin very hard to keep going. love u. and thank u for bein here always.”
