Michael FurlongerGirl Power has come to the British equivalent of the Grammys: Anne-Marie and Dua Lipa are the leading nominees for the 2019 BRIT Awards. They each have four nominations for the awards, which will be handed out February 20 at London’s O2 Arena.
Dua has two nominations for British Single, for “IDGAF” and for her Calvin Harris collabo “One Kiss.” She also has two nominations for British Video for those same two songs.
Annie-Marie is up for the prestigious Album of the Year category for her debut Speak Your Mind, and has nominations for British Female Solo Artist and British Single and Video for “2002.”
Other nominees include Sam Smith, Clean Bandit, and Rita Ora, and in the International categories, Ariana Grande, Shawn Mendes, Camila Cabello, Cardi B, Drake, and Twenty One Pilots.
