After being attacked by other parents online for letting the couple’s son Jameson ride a dirt bike without a motorcycle helmet, exposing him to other kids while he was suffering from hand, foot and mouth disease, and allowing daughter Willow to shoot a .22 caliber rifle, he’s now showing off yet another “parent fail” — his term.
On Instagram, Carey posted a video of Willow popping a cluster of pink balloons using an extremely scary-looking, sharp knife.
“Parent fail 287, letting your daughter pop balloons w/ Papa’s pocket knife,” he captioned the video, in which he tells Willow, “Go for it! Do as many as you want!” He does add, though, “Be careful with it.”
Most people in the comments section seemed to defend Carey’s parenting skills, although one criticized him for something other than letting his seven-year-old daughter play with a knife.
“Don’t want to be a party pooper here but Willow should be taught that plastic balloons are not cool,” wrote the follower. “Plastic is destroying our planet and everything in it.”
It’s a safe bet that Pink has no issue with what Carey’s doing. On Tuesday — one day before International Women’s Day on March 8 — she posted a photo of herself in her younger days with a “don’t mess with me” look on her face.
“Happy Early International Women’s Day!” she wrote. “May we all continue being the bada**** we are!”
