Kwaku Alston for The Hollywood ReporterLady Gaga walked numerous red carpets this past awards season as she snapped up trophies for A Star Is Born — and looked impossibly glamorous on every single one of them.  That’s why the two people responsible for her looks just topped The Hollywood Reporter‘s list of the “25 Most Powerful Stylists in Hollywood.”

Tom Eerebout and Sandra Amador came in at number one thanks to the overwhelming response to the outfits they chose for the singer, which the publication describes as “timeless Hollywood glamour with an edge.”

Eerebout tells The Hollywood Reporter that the hardest part of dressing Gaga was “finding the middle ground: We wanted to deliver looks that were true to her — the element of surprise — and capture movie star magic.”

Take her Oscar look, which garnered 34,000 retweets and 3.2 million Instagram “likes”: Gaga wanted something black and timeless, so she donned a black Alexander McQueen gown, set off by Tiffany & Co’s 128.54 carat yellow diamond, and then a black Brandon Maxwell gown for her performance of “Shallow.”

However, according to the publication, the duo’s top look — and by association, the year’s top look — was Gaga’s outfit at the Venice Film Festival: a pink feathered Valentino Haute Couture confection.

“It was the first premiere, so all the elements — the grandeur of Venice, the thunderstorm, the introduction of Lady Gaga and this campaign — were cinematic,” says Amador.

Next, Eerebout and Amador are looking forward to styling Gaga for the Met Gala, for which she’s serving as co-chair.
