Today’s question: According to eyewitnesses the first recorded instance of an athlete wearing a jersey number was back in 1897 in a rugby match between Queensland and New Zealand, although earliest photographic evidence only exists from a 1903 match between heated rivals Fitroy and Collingwood. But you four obviously knew that already…. thats why Im going to ask you a different jersey question. Per NCAA rules, college basketball players are not allowed to wear a jersey number that contains a 6, 7, 8, or 9. Why?
