CUSTER STATE PARK FESTIVAL OF TREES

A seasonal celebration of trees! Custer State Park is hosting its fifth Annual Festival of Trees to celebrate the holiday season.
The Festival of Trees is an opportunity for local businesses, civic organizations, and individuals to display a tree at the Custer State Park Visitor Center through the holiday season. Participants must supply their own tree and decorations. It is encouraged to decorate trees in a way that promotes the business or organization represented.
Tree set up may occur between Friday, Nov. 27, 2020, and Saturday, Dec. 5, 2020, between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Space is limited. If you are interested, please contact the Park Office at (605) 255-4515 for more information. A space must be reserved before the tree is set-up. All participants are required to remove their tree between Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021, and Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2021.
There is no fee to participate in the Custer State Park Festival of Trees, however, a park entrance license is required to enter the park.
Voting on trees will be open Saturday, Dec. 5, 2020 and ends Jan. 1, 2021 after the First Day Hike. The winner of the “favorite tree” will be announced via Facebook.
A park entrance license is required to enter the park and may be purchased at the Park Office from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. during the week, or at the Visitor Center which is open 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. In observance of the holidays the Visitor Center will be closed Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
