Disney’s Beauty and the Beast- Black Hills Community Theatre

Black Hills Community Theatre opens their 52 nd Season with a tale as old time. Based on the Academy-Award winning film, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast tells us of bright and beautiful Belle and a young prince who has been transformed into a Beast by an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end, but if he does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity.

Disney’s Beauty and the Beast is directed by Kory Yamada. Previously Kory has directed The Sound of Music, The Producers and Annie for BHCT. The production also includes leadership from Choreographer Holly Perli and Music Director Meredith Meersman. The cast of local actors is led by Tessa Braddy as Belle, Eli Corbett as the Beast, Craig Pfeifle as Maurice, Jason Knox as Gaston, Joseph Weseloh as Lefou, David Andrews as Monsiuer D’Arque, William Hustead as Lumiere, Blake Benson as Cogsworth,
Michelle Martinson as Mrs. Potts, Charlotte Grey as Chip, Holly Perli as Babette and Kristol McKie as Madame de la Grande Bouche. The ensemble consists of Alicia Blanchard, Liberty Dahlmann, Caitlyn Ford, Kyle Graves, Cortland Hawkins, Meghan Knowles, Parker Knox, Shaye Krcil, Deirdre Martin, Audrey Perli, Olivia Perli, Ryan Puffer, Elora Randle, Brady Riker, Susan Roberts, Benae Reuppel, JD Schroeder, Scott Silbernagel, Abby Stevens, Jack Stevens, Tae Swanson, Lauren Tilles and Lucy Woods.

Black Hills Community Theatre (BHCT) is presenting its 52nd season in 2019-2020. Every year, BHCT produces five Mainstage shows, two youth productions performed by the Cherry Street Players, an annual Dinner Theatre Fundraiser, a Play Reading Series, plus workshops, special events and summer theater camps. BHCT’s home is in the Performing Arts Center of Rapid City. The mission of BHCT is to infuse the Black Hills Region with enthusiasm for all aspects of theatre by providing quality theatrical opportunities and productions for the region.
