The Internet freaked out earlier today when tattoo artist-to-the-stars Jonboy posted a photo on Instagram showing the back of a woman’s head. Her blonde hair is up, and on the back of her neck is a fresh tattoo of a flower, which matches a similar flower pendant she’s wearing on a necklace.
Underneath Jonboy’s name on the post are the words “Welcome to New York” — the title of one of Taylor’s songs — and he also tagged her in the post. This led to a fierce debate over whether or not the woman in the photo was actually Taylor.
Most fans agreed that it wasn’t, because the woman’s hair has very dark roots and is obviously dyed blonde. In addition, fans claim they’ve never seen Taylor wearing that particular necklace.
Well, now the truth can be told: Swifties know best. People magazine has confirmed that it’s not Taylor.
As People notes, in 2012, Taylor said in an interview that she didn’t have much interest in getting a tattoo, but if she did, it would be of her lucky number, 13.
