Terence Patrick/CBSThe Jonas Brothers finished their week-long residency on CBS’ Late Late Show by joining host James Corden Thursday for a little “Carpool Karaoke.”

Nick, Joe and Kevin warmed up with their 2008 hit, “Burning Up,” followed by their first charting single, “Year 3000.” In between, Nick discussed the unique form of therapy that helped patch up the disagreements that led to them splitting up in 2013.

“We played a drinking game, actually, which really helped,” said Nick, explaining, “We wrote down questions in a bowl and had to pick them out.” An example: “Why do you think the band ended?” All three brothers agreed Nick was the culprit, but he redeemed himself by getting the band back together.

Corden then put the guys on the spot by hooking them up to a lie detector and asking them some tough questions, which they answered truthfully — for the most part. However Nick got caught in a lie when he denied thinking he was the best singer of the three. Kevin was also busted for saying he didn’t feel like punching Nick for breaking up the band.

Afterwards, they got right back in to the music, with renditions of the Jonas Brothers new single, Sucker,” followed by another 2008 hit, “When You Look Me in the eyes.”

Next, James grilled them about those “purity rings” they wore at the beginning of their career to signify their willingness to wait save themselves for the right person. Joe says after constantly being pestered about them, they decided to just ditch the rings.

They finished the ride with another early hit that the guys find a little cringe-worthy these days: “Lovebug,” off their third studio album, A Little Bit Longer.

The guys returned at the end of the show to perform a live version of “Sucker.”
