Disney Channel/Paul HebertWhile her ex Justin Bieber is asking fans to pray for him because he’s struggling, Selena Gomez couldn’t be better. In fact, she says she’s “super, super happy.”
In an Instagram Live session captured by Pop Crave, Selena gives an update on her long-awaited new album, as well as her current mental state.
“I’m currently in the studio right now and it’s going really good,” she says of her new album, which she’s been working on for years.
“I’m just nervous about it, honestly, ’cause I feel like the next few choices that I’m gonna make are very crucial,” she continues. “So I’m trying to be really, really diligent and just patient with everything.”
When the album does arrive, it’ll be the follow-up to 2015’s Revival, and her first since she underwent a kidney transplant in 2017.
The singer, who spent a few months in a treatment center after suffering an “emotional breakdown” in October, also let her fans know that she’s doing much better these days.
“I love you guys so much, and [the] album’s coming very soon and….everything’s good!” she says. “I’m super, super happy.”
“I love all of you, I love my friends!” she laughs. “I’m very grateful for the place that I’m in right now.”
