On this day in 1983, Michael Jackson stepped on stage & debuted a brand new dance move, that made everyone in the audience say: “Wait, his LEGS are walking forward, but his BODY is moving backward?!?”
Thus the “Moonwalk” was born… and soon, it was being attempted by every middle school principal at assembly over the next 15 years.
