The Festival of Lights Parade, which has earned its reputation as the premier winter event in the Black Hills, is a magical evening that takes places in downtown Rapid City where floats strung with thousands of lights dazzle spectators of all ages!

Rapid City’s Festival of Lights Parade is seeking volunteers to help with this year’s Festival of Lights parade, held in Rapid City on November 29, 2025 (the Saturday after Thanksgiving) starting at 6 p.m.
Volunteers will help assist with securing the parade route and crowd control.
