DEADWOOD, S.D. (3/4/2021) – St. Patrick’s Celebration takes place in Historic Deadwood on March 12 & 13, 2021. Celebrate St. Paddy’s in the Wild West with the St. Paddy’s Shuffle, a parade and plenty of fun.
Guests register for the St. Paddy’s Shuffle by visiting Outlaw Square anytime between 5 – 9 p.m. on Friday, March 12, and beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 13. Upon providing proof of age, participants receive a “PubPort” with instructions to get as many stamps as possible at participating locations throughout Deadwood.
There is no cost to participate in the Shuffle. Participants must be 21+. PubPort cards must be submitted to Outlaw Square by 5 p.m. on Saturday to enter to win cash prizes. Participants will then have a chance to win one of 10, $500 cash prizes and 7, $50 prizes, just for taking part! Winners will be announced from the Outlaw Square stage at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
The annual St. Paddy’s Parade takes place at noon on Saturday, March 13. Watch St. Patrick-themed floats parade up Historic Main Street throwing beads and goodies for onlookers.
St. Patrick’s Celebration is an open container event. Deadwood’s open container ordinance will be lifted on Friday, March 12 from 5 – 10 p.m. and Saturday, March 13 from Noon – 10 p.m. Only beer and wine are allowed in the city-approved clear Deadwood Chamber event cups. Open container in designated zones only. Visitors may purchase event cups at participating businesses throughout town.
