The Association of Fundraising Professionals – South Dakota Chapter (AFP-SD)- “You Can’t Ride a Dead Horse – Special Events: Keep it Going or Call it Quits.”

 The Association of Fundraising Professionals – South Dakota Chapter (AFP-SD) is continuing its Western South Dakota monthly programming with a June 20th program titled, “You Can’t Ride a Dead Horse – Special Events: Keep it Going or Call it Quits.”
  
Presenter, Jessica Wells of LifeScape Foundation, will walk the audience through the life-cycle of an event and the current trends in event fundraising. Attendees will gain ideas on developing 3rd party fundraisers and tools that can be applied today regardless of the size of your shop. 
  
The presentation will be held from 11:30am – 1:00pm at the Rushmore Plaza Holiday Inn, 505 North Fifth Street, Rapid City, SD. AFP-SD members attend the function at no charge by pre-registering online at www.southdakotaafp.orgNon-members are welcomed and encouraged to attend for $15 by pre-registering and pre-paying online at www.southdakotaafp.orgRegistration deadline is 12:00 noon on Monday, June 18th. Meals and beverages may be ordered off a set menu and paid by attendee. No outside food or beverage allowed.

About the Panelists
Jessica Wells has served as the President of the LifeScape Foundation (formerly Children’s Care Hospital & School Foundation) since 2003. She has Bachelor’s degrees in Journalism and Resource Conservation from the University of Montana in Missoula, MT. She is very involved in community organizations. A Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) and a Leadership Sioux Falls graduate, Jessica is a member of Junior League of Sioux Falls, the Association of Fundraising Professionals South Dakota Chapter, the Association of Healthcare Philanthropy, the South Dakota Planned Giving Council, and serves on the board of directors for the Mary Jo Wegner Arboretum.
