Today’s question: The city of Chicago has been known by many nicknames over the years, Chi-Town, City by the Lake, the City of Broad Shoulders. But it’s best known as the Windy City. A lot of people assume its called that because of the chilly breeze coming off Lake Michigan but in actuality the nickname was created by journalists in the 1800’s. Why was it called the Windy City?
